Worth a lot more than the Zestimate! The Zestimate doesn't consider a complete renovation of the entire house, inside and out, and extensive land-, rock-, and water-scaping, which was a 3-year project that I started in 2014 and just completed in 2017. Some of the specifics include a kitchen remodel that knocked out a wall, replaced the floor and lighting, installed a new dishwasher and fridge; replacing windows on the main floor with triple-pane and in the basement/garage area double-pane windows; building a man cave in the basement/garage; refinishing hardwood floors and installing built-in bookcases, a breakfast bar, and a new fireplace mantel; replacing lighting and installing ceiling fans throughout the house; a new 40-year metal roof w/ gutters and guards; replacing or rebuilding the 3 toilets in the house and doing preventative maintenance by replacing bathroom and kitchen valves; and the installation of a new front walkway, patio, pondless waterfall, therapeutic hot tub, and over 100 new shrubs and trees. There are several of the major projects I completed at well over 100K. Each of 3 separate realtors have given me their opinion that the house should sell for $550K. The Zestimate is less than I paid for the house, which was a fixer-upper that needed much basic maintenance (and I had the entire house painted, inside and out, plus many other projects that included electrical updating, etc., etc.).
