There are three current roommates who are all working professionals in their 30s.
We have two rooms available in an updated 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, solar-powered townhouse located off 14th St NW equidistant from the Columbia Heights and Petworth metro stops (yellow/green line). The house is a short walk to Rock Creek Park, Target, Giant, Lidl and a number of delicious local restaurants (Thip Khao, Taqueria Habanero).
The basement is newly finished and is basically its own apartment with a separate rear entrance, kitchenette, laundry, living room, two bedrooms, and one full bathroom. The bedrooms both get natural light and measure 11'x10.5' and 10.5'X8'. These rooms are unfurnished share a full bathroom.
The rooms are move-in ready and the rent includes utilities (trash/water/gas/electric), a monthly cleaning service, and pest control services. Cable/internet not included but shared among roommates. Leases are for a minimum of six months. Unfortunately even though we love them, no pets are allowed.
Some perks of the house are central air, hardwood floors, large kitchen with marble countertops, gas stove, and new stainless steel appliances, a brand new 75 gallon water heater, a large back deck with a grill. The basement level includes a kitchenette with sink, fridge, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Basement tenants have full access to the shared living/dining room, full kitchen, and deck upstairs.
