The motto for Saddlehorn is Petty Wild. It is very pretty with lots of wide open spaces and wildlife, too. It is a safe and quite place to live. The streets are wide and called country lanes. They are maintained by Washoe county and they do all the snow removal in the winter. The elementary school, Huntsberger is only minutes away and is an excellent school. Galena High School is also very close. There is a new fire station just down Thomas Creek Road. This is considered an upscale area of Reno. It is only 20 minutes from Mt. Rose Ski resort and 1/2 hour to Lake Tahoe via the Mt. Rose Hwy. In addition, the Summit Mall is just down the road for all your shopping needs. This place has it all, so close to everything yet so far away. It is awesome!
