    1409 Fontaine Road is a beautiful fieldstone four-plex. The space that's available is located on the second and third floors. This space is rather cluggie, but it works. The space on the second floor used to be the entire apartment- until the previous owner decided to utilize the third floor of the building. It has a terrific front porch that's perfect for drinking your morning coffee or enjoying your afternoon cocktail. There is a spacious living room with a fireplace (that's not useable but provides great ambiance). The living room is separated from the bonus room by the original French doors. This room was originally used as the dining room. There is a huge closet in this room. The kitchen and new dining area are open. There's also a full bathroom on this level. Now we come to the cluggie part. You access the third floor in two ways: either from stairs that were built right off the kitchen or stairs in the main hallway of the building. There are two large bedrooms on the third floor, a sitting area with a large closet and a large bathroom. It's been painted in lovely shades of museum grey with linen white trim. The floors on the second level are hardwood and vinyl in the prep part of the kitchen and the bathroom. The bedrooms & sitting area on the third level are carpeted and the bathroom is vinyl. New central heating and air conditioning has been installed throughout the building. There is a coin-op Speed Queen washer/dryer in the basement along with additional secure storage. New blacktopped on-site parking is in the rear of the building. This place is great. It's old. It's stately and it's been fixed up, BUT is quirky and that's what makes it so cool. A great place to call home. Owner takes care of yard maintenance, but NOT snow removal. Tenant pays for all utilities: gas, water, sewage, electric. NO smoking inside the building but may be permitted outside if it doesn't present a problem for other tenants. If it does, then smoking will not be allowed.
