Hello Everybody! My name is Trevor Steger. My wife Jennifer and I own a duplex on 5th st in NE Minneapolis near Logan Park. We are looking to rent out the bottom half of our duplex starting as early as June 9. Pictures show the unit. Living above you in our own unit are me and my wife Jenn and our son Jaxen. We are early to bed and early to rise and would prefer to rent to someone who is on a similar schedule and has a similar quiet lifestyle if possible. I work away from home from 8-5:30, Monday - Friday, Jenn is working from home on the same schedule. That being said, we are currently looking for a new home and are expecting to move out by the end of July. So if you like a quiet house, we will be sure to do our best to find a good fit for you when we move out. It is important to us that this is a good fit for everyone and that you are happy in your home. The home has a front porch to sit out on and enjoy a pleasant morning, as well as a concrete patio out back for having an outside table or dining area. We do allow and encourage pets in the lower unit. However, we are only allowing cats at the moment because we are concerned about dogs scratching up the hardwood floors and potentially barking and disturbing future neighbors upstairs. We would like to meet the cat first, and we need to be sure they are not scratchers, I know cats like cabinets and doors. We do have a pet fee of $75 a month for the first pet or $100 for two, with a two pet limit. We love pets! It's just that they are hard on a home, so we request an additional fee to help with that. As for utilities, we cover water and trash. Gas and electric are split, so you pay for what you use, and we will pay for what we use. The kitchen has recently been renovated with new cabinets and all appliances are new and updated stainless steel. The bathroom has been renovated recently as well. There is an in-unit dishwasher. Laundry is shared in the basement. We do require renters insurance for all of our renters. It is extremely inexpensive (as in $5-10 a month), but it makes sure both of us are protected if anything were to happen. All major insurance providers have renters insurance. If in doubt, I would just call whoever provides your car insurance and ask them. Our little neighborhood on 5th street is fantastic, just a couple blocks from the Logan Park which boasts tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and a big open grass area that they fill in with ice rinks in the winter. Outside of being right next to beautiful parks, our home is also just blocks from Young Jonis - Seven coffee shops - Spyhouse Coffee, Dogwood Coffee, Five Watt Coffee, The Briar, Diamonds Coffee Shoppe, Matchbox Coffee Shop, Sip Coffeebar, and Curioso Coffee Bar. - Eight breweries - Bauhaus Brew Labs Brewery, Sociable Cider Works, Indeed Brewing Company, BUCH Fermentary and Taproom, Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative, Paidrags Brewing, and Headflyer Brewing. - Eight Gyms - Anytime Fitness, Snap Fitness, Breakthrough Fitness, Los Campeones Northeast, Albino Rhino Fitness, Studio ME Fitness, and Northeast Fitness. - Seven Yoga Studios - Corepower Yoga, NKB Yoga, HUM Yoga and Barre, Nordeast Yoga, Kora Pilates, and Yogafit Studios. - One ice cream shop - MN Nice Cream. - One French bakery - La Boulangerie Marguerite Oh, and all sorts of little cultural eateries and grocery stores, a library, and everything else NE Minneapolis has to offer. Be to downtown Minneapolis in a five minute drive, or walk to the Stone Arch Bridge, Boom Island Park, or Nicollet Island, all of which are within 1.5 miles of home! As you can tell, we love NE Minneapolis, and think you will too!
