    1388 Upper Applegate Listing Located in Southern Oregon’s beautiful Applegate Valley ½ mile from the Applegate River and 14 miles from Applegate Dam. This gated property is 11.45 acres. The suction screen, foot valve and pump are removed from the river each fall to prevent damage from high water and freezing. There are 9 fruit trees. The valley is home to, or is visited by, more than 50 bird species. Woodrat mountain, about three miles NE is a world class para-wing launch site. There have been many International competitions held during the summers. Longsword Winery, due North on Hwy 238 encourages the pilots to land at their tasting room. Applegate lake is 20 min south and is stocked with trout each spring. The Rogue-Siskiyou National Forest surrounds the lake. Hundreds of miles of roads crisscross its interior. The property is a great base to enjoy the extensive entertainment opportunities of Southern Oregon.
