Look for an open house on the July 3, 5 and 7. OWN YOUR OWN GOLD MINE PROPERTY! This is a recently remodelled mountain cabin on an original gold mine claim that has a 220 foot long solid rock tunnel, mined in the early 1900’s. It has half-log siding inside and out. It has a master bedroom with full bath and a balcony upstairs, with a small bedroom across the cabin and a sizable sleeping loft above it. It has a small den with stone fireplace, and a large living room with picture windows looking out over the year-round creek with small trout in it. There is an oversized one-car garage with storage room above, and a real 260 sf log cabin that sits right on the creek below the tunnel. It could be used as a studio or playroom for the kids (no plumbing). The tunnel is perfectly safe to use. There is a small party room at the end that will seat ten people, and it makes for the most awesome man-cave in the Denver area. This cabin is one mile up a dead-end 2 mile long dirt road which has no full-time residents and sees very little traffic, giving the owner of this cabin a uniquely beautiful location almost entirely to himself, and yet only 10 minutes to the Safeway grocery. The road is passable by 2 wheel drive cars (except sports cars). The people at the end of the road will plow and do some maintenance on the road. If you want to live here in the winter you could add electricity (1/2 mile away) and a well, but the solar and 2,000 gallon gravity feed water tank is sufficient for the summers. Additionally, it comes with a vintage Servel refrigerator/freezer and also a vintage Chambers stove/oven. Both came with the cabin when I bought it.
