You are within driving distance of Silver City, Deming and Las Cruces in New Mexico, and can cross into Arizona to get to Tucson and Phoenix and Douglas, which is a border entry into Mexico. You can also easily drive to El Paso, Texas. The community is mostly retired people because there is little employment unless you drive 30 miles to Silver City But since cable and internet are available and already served by cables in the home, remote work from home is a possibility too. There is one gas station just across from the subdivision and a bakery up the street, but for dinner out, it is Silver City which has lots of local as well as national restaurant like Denney's and fast food places as well as Wal-mart and supermarkets.
