Our beautiful one bedroom apartment with your own private entrance, located in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts in Buckland is perfect for a city person who wants a country getaway, or for full time country living. A unique country getaway 10 min. outside Ashfield, Massachusetts, and 15 min. from Shelburne Falls, MA.,we are located within 30-45 minutes of six colleges and many attractions in the Pioneer Valley, as well as North Adams and Williamstown. The apartment is lightly furnished. There is a king bed with an incredible view of your own large backyard that goes right into the woods that is totally private. You can sleep with the double doors open and the screen doors let the night breeze keep you nice and cool. There is a comfy couch, dining table and kitchen is stocked with pots and pans and utensils. There is good Wi-Fi. Utilities are not included - and internet is $85 per month. The 'neighborhood' is very quiet - the peepers at our nearby pond will be the only thing you will hear at night. The stars are the only light you will see and are amazing. You can see them through the skylight above your bed or sitting outside in your private back yard. We are both artists with our home and studios in two buildings adjacent to the building the apartment is in, but the apartment is extremely private. We can go for weeks without seeing our tenant. Our ideal tenant is : someone who loves the outdoors, likes to garden, is a dog person ( our dog Charlie is VERY friendly), is friendly but also respectful of our quiet life and has good boundaries. This apartment is ideal for a single person, or a couple if one works away from home. It's too small for two people to work from home on a daily basis. We're especially interested in someone able to help out around the property when needed, and willing to take some money off the rent in exchange for help for this. No cats please.
