It is the perfect little cabin overlooking a very noisy stream! My husband and I are foodies and outdoor enthusiasts. We love the fact that we can be seated at a five-star restaurant in downtown Asheville in 12 minutes or Blue Mountain Pizza in Weaverville in 5 minutes. We love being so close to the French Broad River for kayaking! Before we bought it, the cabin was in a short-term rental program with an excellent record of steady AirBnB rentals! Blending nicely with her surroundings, she is truly unusual. She sits on a knoll, surrounded by 1.4 private, gated, and partially fenced acres with room for a garden or lying in the hammock. In front of the cabin is loud Flat Creek. The French Broad River is only minutes away. The interior is truly unique and instantly comfortable. Pretty pegged-pine floors flow throughout the main floor. The great room is wide open with a cathedral ceiling and large windows to both hear and see the stream. A gas log fireplace with a remote timer takes the chill off in colder months. Ponderosa Pine chandeliers and sconces both inside and out blend beautifully with the cabin design. A large kitchen includes a new 5-burner gas range, and a new large capacity washer and dryer. The main level master bedroom easily accommodates the king-sized bed. There is a guest bedroom upstairs and comfy loft den or reading room. The bath is enormous and incredibly unusual with pebble-stone flooring, hammered-copper sink, brick walls, and a multi-head shower. Just outside, is a large deck and a 6-person spa. The home has been upgraded and includes a major rebuild of the substructure. with new, cross members & support beams. More supports were added to give the cabin stability for years to come. New insulation was added plus heavy-duty vapor barrier was put in place. An out-dated heat and air handling system was removed and replaced with a new custom suspended air handler. Associated flexible ductwork was also suspended and re-routed to free-up workspace. A gas line was added to the kitchen to enable gas cooking and heavy-duty sink disposal was added. Both my husband and I are agents. We live on the coast of NC and use the cabin as a vacation home.
