This neighborhood has a rural feel, despite its proximity to more urban areas. Horses, chickens, goats and other livestock are commonly kept and there is an active 4H Club presence. Many homes are set up for horses and there is easy access to Redwood, Anthony Chabot, and Leona Canyon park trails. It is common to hear hawks, owls and even an occasional rooster. Residents are very active in home alert and neighborhood watch along with CORE and emergency preparedness. The HOA is active in supporting these causes along with wildfire prevention and earthquake safety.
