WE ARE SELLING OUR HOUSE TO MOVE BACK TO TENNESSEE. WE MOVED UP TO HELP TAKE CARE OF MY DAD WHO WAS IN BAD HEALTH............BUT HE IS DOING FINE NOW. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN SMOKING IN HOUSE AND NO PETS. When we bought this house it was owned by an elderly lady. It was built around 1966 and was built the old school way (which is cut no corners and make it sturdy). The house was in good physical condition but the inside was still in the 60's. All the rooms have been updated. We had the original hardwood floors done by a company called Mr. Sandless, they were in good condition but needed spruced up. The living room has berber carpet with original hardwood floors underneath ( We are carpet in the living room people). The home has only one bath but with size of lot could have a master bath built on as an addition or a bath put in downstairs or bath put in garage. All new ceiling fans with lights in every room (when this house was built it was customary for light switch to turn on table lamps in each room). All ceilings redone to update (when this house was built the swirled ceilings were the rage). I redid the kitchen and added an island with 9 deep drawers for better storage of pots and pans and all new counter tops with beveled edges and cut corners. Added a dishwasher, gas stove/overhead hood with fan and refrigerator. And oh yes!!!!!!!!! the wall paper in the kitchen is the new kind that will come off very easily. We also replaced all windows which are high energy rated with tilt in for cleaning ease-the cost was $5000 and the lifetime warranty is passed on to the new owners. We also had the basement completely water proofed by B-Dry- The cost was $10,000 with lifetime warranty. There was no water coming in and we wanted to keep it that way. The garage is counted as a 2 car but is oversized and is insulated and has plastered walls and ceiling. There are storage cabinets in garage that also stay with house. This house is in move-in condition and well maintained. This home is for a family that doesn't want to spend a few weeks getting the house ready to move into. Two doctors offices, ambulance service, library, restaurants, pizza, country store, large Rutters gas and diesel convenience center, elementary school, 2 churches, post office and a full service fitness gym as well as motorcycle shop and a garage that does great mechanical work on your vechicles at the end of our street and much more within 1/2 mile but in a calm and peaceful setting. An interesting note: Amish families live on our road and you see the horses and buggies go back and forth and it is as if you are in a different world. IF THERE ARE ANY MISTAKES IN THIS DESCRIPTION I APLOGIZE AND DID NOT MAKE THEM KNOWINGLY.Additional property info: http://www.forsalebyowner.com/listing/3-bed-Single-Family-home-for-sale-by-owner-12802-Gum-Tree-Road-17309/22788334?provider_id=28079
