We have lived in many places, and this is one of the best neighborhoods we have ever lived in. The river area has warm, friendly neighbors who know everyone else well, who trust each other to look out for each other's children, homes, and pets, and who can be counted on for help if it's needed. The neighbors are all very different ranging from corporate nomads to old time Cranford families who have owned their homes for generations, yet, despite their varying positions in life and very different backgrounds, everybody has a down-to-earth attitude, no competitiveness with each other, and no prejudice that we have ever seen or experienced. This is a rare quality that is priceless and which is why so many people who know Cranford want to live in this area on this block.
