FULLY FURNISHED 2BR 2BA apartment in the quaint Southern California coastal community of Carpinteria. This unit, Apt 8, is normally a vacation rental but with a few tweaks to the rental agreement, it'll be perfect for fire victims. In addition, we have other similar fully furnished vacation rentals in the same building, so depending on your dates and term of stay, what bed configuration you need, if you have pets, etc., we can help you choose the best apartment for your needs.
Apt 8 is a remodeled and FULLY FURNISHED 2BR 2BA second floor corner unit with all the quality you want - plank-style flooring throughout; granite counters and stainless appliances in a fully-equipped kitchen with wood cabinetry; bathrooms with custom tile work (no yucky fiberglass!); comfy beds in each room; custom closets outfitted with a mix of built-in shelving, pull-outs and hanging rods; and ceiling fans. There's even a tiny balcony with Apt 8 - it's the only one in this small building that has a balcony. All the vacation rental apartment have been similarly remodeled, so you've got great choices. Even better, doing your laundry on-site is FREE!
But wait, there's more! Carpinteria is one of those rare places where getting around by bicycle or even walking is viable. Bus service is available to Santa Barbara to the north, or Ventura to the south, and the Amtrak station is within easy walking distance, as well. And there's still more! It's directly across the street from the wildlife sanctuary and just a half-block from the white sand beach.
Utilities and internet are included. Sadly, here's the (slight) downside: A pet deposit will be required if you want to bring Fido or Fifi. There is NO SMOKING and we don't feel bad about that, it's not good for you. We don't offer an assigned parking spots, street parking only and it is usually available. We have a few parking spots at the back of the building for loading or unloading a car. Our parking policy is working great and no complaints.
Term: We gotta talk. This unit, Apt 8, can be rented monthly (minimum) or longer. We have other units that can be rented for shorter stays, and others that are also 31-day minimum. Sadly this website doesn't allow us to plug in all the variables so tell us what you want and we'll see how we can accommodate your needs. All our units are similarly furnished but with different decorating themes, and we offer different bed configurations in different units. We can offer additional discounts for longer stays. The quoted rate is for our winter season; shoulder and high-season (summer or holiday) rates are higher just in case you want to stick around. We feel bad that the rate we're quoting isn't written in stone, but we have to know what your desired lease dates are and then we can quote a firm rent.
Sadly, there are rules. You gotta pay the rent, preferably on time; no smoking; quiet, well-behaved pets will be considered; and we demand that you have fun living here!
You'll need to call my sister-in-law, Elena, to arrange to see it. Her phone number is the one in this listing. If this one isn't available for the dates you want, we've got others that are similarly remodeled and furnished, and she can guide you in choosing the one that meets your needs.
If you bring Fido or Fifi, we will require a $65 pet fee, a $300 cleaning fee at the end of your stay, and a $1,500 refundable security deposit.

We're actually flexible - 31-day minimum for this unit (Apt 8), but we can accommodate most anything between our short-term licensed units and those that aren't licensed for short-term. Please note that the quoted rate is our off-season (winter) rate, if you want to rent in the summer or shoulder seasons you'll pay more.
