Built in 1908, this Elizabethan Cottage has loads of charm, including: original hardwood floors throughout, a brand NEW furnace, 2 full bathrooms, a spacious main bedroom upstairs with dual closet spaces, a beautiful South/East facing second bedroom and small balcony off the dining room (both with incredible views downtown and of Betsy Bell/Mary Gray mountains), a great kitchen with newer dishwasher and concrete countertops, large windows (lots of great light,) built in bookshelves with storage cabinets & a window seat, an office or 3rd bedroom (no official closet) downstairs in the basement, a paved & fenced in patio (perfect for pets and parties!) with outdoor fireplace, and flowering perennials. Yard maintenance is included in the rent (grass cut, pruning/weeding, upkeep of hill) however, snow removal is the responsibility of the tenant (snow shovel provided). Finished basement offers lots of storage space, a full size washer and dryer, and deep freezer. While there is plenty of street parking available, the home also boasts a private driveway with off street parking for 1 car. Pets (max of 2) will be considered on a case by case basis with a non-refundable pet deposit of $250 each, and $25 per month. As stated, this is a historic home which means it has its quirks- including a couple of old (rope & pulley style) windows that require a support piece to keep open - if this is not acceptable to you, this is not the home for you.
