    What's special

One block from Lincoln Park and five from Eastern Market and Barracks Row, this home is in a great residential part of Capitol Hill. The house is fairly traditional outside and unique on the inside for Capitol Hill. Built in 1893 and fully renovated from top to bottom a few years ago. It is a three story private home. The first floor includes a living room, dining room with table for 8, and large chef's kitchen with restaurant-style appliances and all the pot, pans, utensils and small appliances you can imagine. There is a small sitting area with TV off the kitchen with a bookshelf that holds just some of my hundreds of cookbooks. The second floor has the master bedroom and bath and a TV/den room as well as a balcony. The third floor includes a private bedroom, bathroom with truly unique open shower that goes right into a guest room and an open loft like (not private) bedroom and laundry area with double doors that go out to the roof deck. Beds have luxurious linens with an extra set of sheets available for quick changes as needed. I can provide towels and other linens. The house is tastefully decorated with great furniture, lots of colorful paintings - most of which were done by my mother who was a talented artist and the rest has been collected along the way with lots of folk art - heavy emphasis on my African and Mexican travels. When the weather is nice, you can use the large back patio and roof deck as well. There is a BBQ in the back too. The house is one block from Lincoln Park, 5 Blocks from Eastern Market, just under a mile from the US Capitol, and also easy walking distance to Barracks Row and H Street NE corridor. It is an awesome neighborhood. Getting around: The nearest The closest metro stop is Eastern Market, which is a half mile away on foot. You can rent bikes through Capitol Bike Share just a block away at Lincoln Park. There are two large grocery stores within easy walking distance and many small boutique shops in addition to Eastern Market. Length is negotiable. Utilities not included. One months rent deposit.

This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
