The birds perform their duties admirably eating insects so much that we've never had problems with insect bites. There are five nest boxes on the property and most years they are fully occupied until the day after the young birds fledge, then they're gone forever. The sandhill cranes also arrive each year. Another aspect of life here: quiet. Yes, there is some float plane traffic during the day, and then at all other times, especially at night, it is very quiet. We have privacy and sleep well.
