This was a 2 bd, 1 ba cottage with a large sleeping porch likely built in the 1960s. Due to a tree fall and many years of subsequent water penetration when I acquired the cottage, the kitchen, bath, one bedroom and porch were removed and electric was disconnected and the service removed from the structure. The remaining structure is 2 story with original living room and upstairs bedroom. Structure has been utilized since I acquired (about 10 years) as a storage building. Structure sits beside stony creek in the Stone Glen Cottagers Association. I've moved and sold my other cottage and therefore no longer require this one for storage. If someone is interested, I'm open to offers. Wood structure is in decent shape. The roof doesn't leak, but is likely original and should be replaced. Foundation is stacked concrete block piers and needs work. Original hand dug well is on site. Structure is owned, land is leased through the association. New owner would be an association member and responsible for yearly dues of $125, plus the taxes for the approximate 1/4 acre area where this cottage sits. Taxes per year are about $300 based on original cottage layout (has not been adjusted for current reduced footprint but could be to reduce taxes even more). This is one of the three original cottages in the area. Stony Creek is a stocked trout stream that also has native trout population. Cottage sits about 2 miles from the end of the valley road where there is access to game lands and Saint Anthony's Wilderness. About 3 miles from the Susquehanna River and 15 miles from Harrisburg in Stony Valley. Windows are original single pane and several are broken. The structure needs work but for someone who is looking for a very rustic cottage, in an wonderful setting, with low associated costs, this maybe of interest. Selling as is. Low asking price reflects repair needs and is what I estimate the lumber would be worth if I took it down to move and rehab at my new location.
