Beautiful, 2014-renovated 1863 colonial on the quiet side of Oak St. The house is setup for co-housing and currently has one couple living upstairs. Downstairs is open concept and has a spacious kitchen, dining room, office/den, and living room with Yotul gas stove. Upstairs has one guest bedroom (unheated but heat rises through the floor so it stays warm), a large storage attic, the second tenant's bedroom and a shared full bath. The price includes all costs. The downstairs room, with adjacent full bath is available for $1000 (with all utilities and fiber optic/cable internet). The room is furnished, but unfurnished is possible. We share a garden plot on Retreat Farm and grow edibles in our small garden. You can access Brattleboro, the train station, hiking trails, schools, restaurants, the Brattleboro Coop, all walking. Driveway parking available. Storage shed and basement for bikes and other cold storage. $2000 is inclusive of all the housing costs. Since this is a co-housing unit, we have some house expectations, which we will share with perspective candidates. We have house meals and meetings once or twice per month. We hope to insulate the house this year, which may bring down overall costs in the winter. Housing costs are estimated based on actual costs of the house.
