    What the owner loves about this home
    Our home was purchased 20 years ago after searching Portland for 3 months. We moved from California and were staying at the Comfort Suites down the street from our house, we walked the neighborhood while waiting for our realtor and saw this house. We purchased it immediately after 2 hours after viewing the property. We loved it then and we love it now! The home was built in the 1950 and we were the third owner, we have made some minor changes and improvements. Sanctuary means many things, basically a place where someone or something is protected or given shelter. This place has offered us the most tranquil and peaceful residence we have lived in. The home is in a very desirable area and also very convenient for shopping. The home is surrounded by tall trees making it very attractive to birds and other wildlife. We can sit outside, hear the water trickling from our small stream, listen to the Koi splashing and the birds chirping. You might even feel like you are far away high in the mountains. This could be your future home! Our neighbors are the best people in town, we have spent many social occasions together, always enjoying functions that we have fun with. There are several places for taking walks to right from this house. The property has a small auto shop and a separate cargo container which the seller used as a hobby workshop. Neither of the two is approved by the city permit office. This property is over 1/2 acre in size, it is to my understanding after reading the building additions information, this spacious lot has enough unused space to qualify for addition of a second dwelling if the buyers would be interested in creating a home for a relative, or for rental income.
