The 125 mile long Grand River Valley trail runs right through it. It's like being up north in the UP, without the long road trip. And just five minutes east from there is the city of Ionia, offering chain restaurants and big box stores. All parking is free of charge and steps away from the front door of the Beach Cottage. From April 1 to October 31, parking is allowed 24/7 on the street in front of the house. From November 1 to March 30, overnight parking is available in a public lot directly across the street, shared by the Beach, and is about a 30 second walk from the front door.
