We are seeking to rent out our basement apartment in our classic DC urban rowhouse, beginning August 15. The basement is a fully separate, large one bedroom apartment with good lighting and a gourmet kitchen. This is a pet friendly apartment! There is a nice enclosed backyard perfect for a polite dog. Our urban neighborhood is historic, super diverse, really friendly, and loaded with great little neighborhood restaurants and businesses, especially Ethiopian, Caribbean, and Central American restaurants. There is a farmer's market a few blocks away. Rock Creek Park is a 15 minute walk away. All the DC universities and the University of Maryland are a pleasant biking distance away, if you like biking. We are well-served by the bus, and there is a metro stop about a mile away. The unit is unfurnished. We are looking for responsible tenants who will take good care of our home while we are overseas.
