This delightful home is the original Mt. Pleasant School House, District 107. Although the district was believed to have started in 1864, the current owner believes this school house was built in 1905. All the doors and light fixtures are original. Per the owner, there is a tin ceiling above the current ceiling and could be restored. The school closed down around 1952 and was sold to the farmer (for his caretaker to live in) who owned the surrounding land. The first addition, which is now the living room and kitchen, was added to the south side of the school house. The garage and family room were added later. NOTE: second bedroom does not have a closet. There is a 35x12 loft above this addition that could be made into more finished living space. The nearly one acre property is perfect for the avid gardener! The huge fenced area has been used as an herb garden for many years and could easily be brought back to life.
