All homes, with the exception of two, were built in the early 1970's by two different builders. Although we are minutes from Post Road, and Rt. 95, the feeling of the neighborhood is quite rural. As we look out the from window, we see "the farm". Some days, the horses are running, and some days the cows are grazing. We climb the fence in the summer to walk over to the "Pick Your Own Blueberries" patch. There is always work on the farm for the yound teenage boy. There are chldren on the street from young elementary through high school--playmates and babysitters. Chhildren play basketball and ride their bikes up and down the street everyday. They are respectful, and kind. it is the kind of neighborhood where last winter, when it did snow, I had several boys knock on my door to shovel snow for me for free. Four of the families are older people, thus creating an atmosphere of the old times with mixed ages. The neighborhood is safe. In the years I have lived here I can only remember one robbery, and that was over twenty years ago. People watch out for each other. Beyond the street, we are surrounded with similar neighborhoods. the children go to the same elementary school, so they travel from one little neighborhood to the next to meet up with friends
