    Welcome to our cozy craftsman bungalow located just three blocks west of I-25 near the Bijou Street exit. Easy access to downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, and the Pikes Peak Greenway trail gives ample options for food, entertainment, and all facets of city life. With a shotgun layout and a very private, fully-fenced backyard, staying in is easy, too. This 2-bed/1-bath home was built in 1909 and still has many of its original features, including the oak floors and clawfoot tub. There is also a washer and dryer. After purchasing this home in 2016, my husband and I lived here for nearly five years. It has been rented for the past eight months, but our current tenant is being deployed. Please keep in mind that this house is more than 100 years old, so it has its little quirks. We are looking for a reliable tenant who will love and appreciate this home as we have. Rent is $1,600 per month plus utilities. Tenants must sign a 12-month lease, though a longer lease is also possible. First month's rent is due upon signing the lease. Last month's rent plus a $500 security deposit will be due before move-in. The house will be available April 15. We value your time as well as ours, so we will NOT be showing the house to anyone who has not submitted an application. Please message me to request one. We will reach out to you to schedule a viewing. Please do NOT bother the current tenant. House Rules: There is absolutely no smoking allowed on the property. Renters must carry renter's insurance. Cats allowed, and dogs 50 lbs and under will be considered. Please note age, weight, and breed(s) in your application. Any additional pet fees will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Any prospective tenant must: 1. Have a good rental history and be willing to provide references from previous landlords (if applicable). 2. Show proof of income 3. Be able to pay first month's rent upon signing the lease, then last month's rent + $500 security deposit prior to move-in.
