Mountain House, perched on a cliff, was inspirationally designed by Michael Trapp to take advantage of a site that provides panoramic views of the Berkshire foothills beyond.  Oversized windows abound to take in the views and allow for natural light to infuse the interiors. The open floor plan includes the large living room with soaring, beamed ceiling, a fireplace surrounded by floor-to-ceiling native stone, and a wall of windows with French doors that open to the 900 square foot deck.  The large formal dining room also opens to the deck.  The galley kitchen has high-end stainless appliances and a gorgeous custom marble, farmhouse-style sink.  A smaller dining room has built-in cabinets.  The kitchen, living and dining room floors are 18th century French tiles, arranged in squares outlined with narrow bands of wood.  The master bedroom suite has spectacular views, and a luxurious bath with shower and soaking tub.  A guest bedroom is en suite.  Up the staircase is another bedroom with bath en suite.  Over 5000 square feet of outdoor patios, decks and terraces surround the house - some quite expansive, others rather intimate.  Doors in every room access these beautiful outdoor spaces.  "A thin veil separates the inside from the outside", is how Michael Trapp described the effect.   There is a small pool built of 17th century granite tiles with a fountain.  An outdoor shower with amazing views has recently been installed.  The artful entry of terraced Belgium block, stone and boxwoods, is reached via a long driveway.  Extensive landscaping with outdoor LED lighting.  Veissman Furnace & Solar Panels.  Wiring for both Cable & Internet have been installed. A very private place delivers a dreamlike serenity.
