Located an hour south of Atlanta just outside the quaint town of Williamson, Georgia, is Peach State Aerodrome, a vibrant public/private airport community. The Aerodrome features a pristine 2,850-foot grass runway, fuel farm, and hangar space. Also located on the property of Peach State Aerodrome is Barnstormer's Grill & Event Center. Popular among pilots and locals, Barnstormer's Grill serves up popular American fare, including burgers, steaks, sandwiches, and seafood. Barnstormer's is open for lunch and dinner Wednesdays - Sundays. On Saturdays and Sundays the restaurant opens at 8 a.m. to serve breakfast as well. Peach State Aerodrome is also home to the Youth Aviation Program. The Youth Aviation Program students and mentors meet on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the Jim Hoak Hangar to work on their aviation-related projects. Just adjacent to Peach State Aerodrome is Peach State Airpark, an aviation community featuring hangar homes with direct access to the runway.
