    What's special

Brick homeTraditional moldingsPeriod characterGenerous living spacesHardwood flooring
1Timeless, two story, Tudor-style, brick home, located in one of Cheyenne’s most sought-after historic neighborhoods in the Avenues. Four bedrooms and 3 baths with a functional floor plan, this house is nicely landscaped and south facing which brings in much light throughout the day. The home has period character featuring generous living spaces with hardwood flooring, traditional moldings, and period-appropriate details that reflect its 1930s craftsmanship. The generous sized living spaces are highlighted with a living room and basement traditional wood fireplaces, and the family room has a very functional direct vent natural gas fireplace. Garage space is in the front and rear of the house. Records show that the house was originally built by a husband, wife doctor duo and the house stayed in their family for 83 years. The backyard offers both privacy and space for entertaining, gardening, or simply enjoying Wyoming’s seasons. The electrical wiring was updated again in 2020 with 200-amp service and arc fault breakers and new outlets. We have a brand new roof and gutters scheduled to be installed this fall or coming spring. Moore-Haven Heights is known for its tree-lined streets, historic character, and proximity to historic Cheyenne Downtown and Lions Park/Cheyenne Frontier Park. This home offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of Cheyenne’s history with the comforts of modern living.
What the owner loves about this home
Many things I love about this home include the location. The home seems close to everything. Jump on the one way and get to downtown or Del Range in min or get on Pershing and hit the Interstate. The brick work of the area was done my truely masters of masonry. I have never seen another area in a different town with such cute brick homes all offering their unique differences. The mature trees are amazingly beautiful in all seasons. Being in town, living in a solid, sturdy brick home makes the windy days we experience from time to time living in Wyoming almost unnoticeable. No air conditioning needed. We open the windows at night and close them in the morning and the cool nights breeze cools the house down to the point where it stays livable all day. If the buyer thinks AC is needed lets schedule it into the purchase. I love the solid oak and cherry accents the homes woodwork displays, famous of the 1930's. The Doctor's that built the house must have had some influence over city government as noticed by the driveway and garage access at the front of the house. This is only house with a front garage and driveway in the first 5 blocks of the avenues that isn't a corner lot. I love the sturdiness of the house and storage with storage space in the basement or the pull down stairs and walk-able attic space. They do not build them like this anymore.
