Beautiful Old House. Big Yard. Rejuvenating Space. The house has 3 private bedrooms, 1 small room (office/ art room/ guest room/ bedroom), 1 bathroom, and a large kitchen/ sunroom/ living room. There is a large yard with a large oak, elderberry bushes, bananas, and camellia bushes. The house has a lot of windows and natural light. There have been some updates to the bathroom since the picture that is posted was taken. The bedrooms have closets. The house is around 100 years old with wood floors, large windows, and tall ceilings. Washer and dryer and other appliances are included. The house is about a mile, 10 minute bike ride from ULL. Five minutes from Fightingville Fresh Market. 5 min walk from Clark field and Jefferson St. Ici on parle francais! 1 bedroom of the 3 bedrooms is not available: I live out of town and and come to Lafayette to visit family and friends, and for holidays, evacuations, and festivals. Average visit is one weekend every one or two months. My bedroom has a private entrance. When I am at the house we share the bathroom and kitchen. Rental can be to two housemates or to one person. Past housemates have included both families with children and individual people. Thanks! Lease Agreements / House Agreements: 1) No smoking in the house. No open candles. 2) Renter is responsible for keeping the house clean, prepping the house for freezes (preventing pipes from bursting), messaging me to let me know about repairs that need to be made, and mowing/maintaining the yard. If you don't want to maintain the yard, the rent can be increased to include yard maintenance costs. and mowing/maintaining the yard. 3) Utilities are in landlord's name. The full time occupants are responsible for utilities. Bills include: Atmos Gas, LUS (electricity, water, trash). 4) Deposit: To hold the house, put down a deposit. The deposit is refunded after you have moved out and cleaned your space. It will be fully refunded if there is no damage, rent and utilities have been paid, and you give 30 days notice before moving out. (Deposit in installments may be available based on need. Deposit can never be used towards rent, repairs, lawn care, etc.). 5) I would prefer no pets but have been flexible with responsible pet owners. I am allergic to cats. RENTAL APPLICATION: Please send an intro email/ text/ message with 1) a little bit about yourself, 2) your past experiences with roommates / housemates/ rentals 3) what you are looking for in home, and 4) when you would move in and how long you would be planning to be on the lease 5) Contact info for 2-3 people that can be references for you - people you have lived with as housemates and/or landlords you have rented from.
