This is a very sweet ohana, tucked away from the street with a fenced yard where you can let your dog play or start your vegetable garden. The ohana comes with one dedicated onsite parking spot, with plenty of guest parking on the street. Professional landscape maintenance 2x per month included. The unit has a newer kitchen and bathroom installed 3 yrs ago. The bathroom is gorgeous with travertine tile, walk-in shower, and a local monkeypod countertop. The kitchen has sustainable bamboo countertops, dishwasher, oven/stove, fridge, microwave and under cabinet lighting. Overhead fans in all rooms, and the roof is painted white to keep it cool in summer. We have additional outdoor and indoor furniture that you can buy from us or borrow until you get your own. We are a peaceful ohana in a family neighborhood, so low-noise, low-party tenants are preferred. Canine family members of any size are welcome, we are animal lovers and welcome your fur babies into our peaceful kingdom. Two very friendly outdoor felines live on-property and keep the pests away. You enter the property from the driveway via a gated courtyard (shared w one studio tenant) with a newer gas barbecue and a washer/dryer shed for your use. Behind your ohana is an area to store your bikes and gear, and a board rack. There is not a huge amount of storage space inside (closets run small), but there is room in the covered doorway for storage. We have a community compost bin for your food waste if you prefer to reduce your carbon footprint. We welcome you to make this your home sweet home. We use the standard Hawaii Association of Realtors standard lease. We prefer a 6-month lease extending month-to-month, but are open to discuss your lease preferences. We are 420-friendly, but residents do not tolerate tobacco smoking on property. However, you and/or your guests are welcome to smoke your cigs on the street. The electricity bill runs ~65-80/month depending on your energy habits. The unit has a newer 50-gallon electric hybrid water heater (Energy Star) that pulls thermal energy from the air, saving on electric costs. A large (25-gallon?) refillable propane tank fuels the stove and oven, the cost depends upon propane pricing and your cooking habits. The current cost to fill the propane tank is ~$150 and we are open to alternative fuels if you are fossil-free. The former tenant did not need to refill the tank in 2.5 years of cooking. We have high-speed fiber internet in the neighborhood at ~$35/month, but we can discuss a shared mesh network to reduce internet costs.
