In 2005, long before Covid-19 necessitated it, the homeowners decided to start a business and work from home. They were drawn to the small-town charm of historic Matthews. By sheer luck, they found a piece of undeveloped property in the heart of Matthews and immediately began custom designing a house that would include a large office space separate from the home's living area. Next, they found a builder dedicated to integrity and fine craftsmanship. Over the next nine months, they oversaw every phase and detail of construction. For 14 years, they have thoroughly enjoyed living and working in this house and being part of the Matthews community and its downtown revitalization. But now, the owners are winding down their business and are ready to retire to the NC mountains to be closer to family. If they could, they would move this house with them. That being impossible, they hope this downtown Matthews home brings another family the same comfort and happiness it has brought them.
