Custom built log house in the Western Carolina mountains at 3,550' elevation, which means cool summers (usually highs in the upper 70's)! The logs are 6" x 12" double tongue and groove. All walls are wood, no sheet rock. It is on a 1 acre lot in a wooded area with rhododendrons and hard woods on 3 sides. Green Cove Road is a private road, very serene and peaceful with a small stream directly behind the back porch. It is an open plan with a great room with a 24' ceiling, dining room and kitchen. The master bedroom and guest bedroom are downstairs. The large loft (18' x 28') upstairs has plenty of room and great light from the windows, with a large bath and closet. The covered back porch (12' x 28') is a great place for grilling, eating, reading, swinging and visiting with friends. There is a central HVAC with a heat pump and propane furnace. There is minimum maintenance outside which has a lot of trees, natural large boulders, rhododendrons, hastas and low junipers. We have lived in the cabin for 6 months a year for the last 10 years and love it! We think you will also!
