This 1928 home, built at the height of the Jazz Age, is part of the F.Q. Story Historical District. Originally developed as housing for people returning from "The Great War" (World War I), the homes in this area tend to be eclectic cottages and bungalows, with duplex properties dotted throughout. Over the last 94 years, most properties have been updated, with the last 15 years seeing an influx of rejuvenation. Living here is really like being in a tiny village, within one of the largest and most vibrant metropolitan areas in the US. Most of the neighbors are on a first name basis, and have lived here for decades. You'll find, on the dining room sideboard, a binder with information you may find useful. The closest grocery stores, gas stations, and pharmacies for the necessities. Then, a list of many (but by no means all!) of the local destinations within walking distance - most of which have been visited by the host. Rental scooters are also widely available in the area to make the trip shorter. We've also listed some spots which are farther out but worth a short drive, and the day trip category for the interesting and sometimes strange things to see in Arizona. If you should need anything specific to make your trip comfortable, and feel like home the moment you walk through the door, don't hesitate to contact us in advance, and we'll do our very best to accommodate your requests. No smoking inside the property. Neighbors are sensitive to noise late at night. Pet owners must clean up after pets (scoopers available on property). All utilities and high speed internet included, within reasonable use limits. Property is FULLY furnished down to corkscrews and laundry detergent. Property has a grassy fully fenced (block wall) backyard.
