Call the OFFICIAL LISTING AGENT, Ellie McIntire ~ The McIntire Team of Keller Williams Realty Centre of Greater Howard County for more information. (C) 443-418-7668 (O)410-312-0000The best Howard County has to offer. This spacious 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath open plan Colonial home checks all the "Must Have's" list. AWESOME SCHOOLS, on a cul de sac, delicious in-ground pool, NO HOA, plenty of parking, walk to local amenities and so much more. Who better to convey all of the qualities than the sellers themselves:When we first saw the house at 11115 Scaggsville Rd in Laurel we were so excited! It seemed like the perfect place to raise a family. Howard County Schools, on a cul de sac and nestled back on a little hilltop, with lots of open space for the kids to run (and the perfect size sled run). We knew instantly we had found our home. With conservancy bordering two sides of the house, it was a quiet and secluded location and imagined relaxing on the front porch or sun porch with a cup of coffee. With professional landscaping, the property looked amazing, yet manageable to maintain. When we entered the house for the first time, we were delighted with the open and welcoming feel of the house. With plenty of windows, there was lots of natural light which created a warm and inviting feel. We were very happy to find the laundry room on the main level, with turned out to be very convenient for doing a quick load while preparing a meal in the kitchen. We were also impressed with the amount of storage space in the garage, laundry room, two hall closets, pantry, and plenty of kitchen cabinets. The unfinished basement was huge, and with a rough in bathroom and it held lots of potential. We had planned to finish it when we needed more space, but that time never came as the rest of the house was more than spacious for our needs. On the second floor, we were very impressed with the size of the bedrooms, especially the closet space. With double vanities in both bathrooms, we knew there would be plenty of room for everyone. The master bedroom was huge, with a cute sitting area. The master closet was bigger than we had ever had and a pure delight, it would give us lots of storage room.Top 10 reasons we love our house!10. Big kitchen, plenty of room to cook and play.9. Convenient to everything! Our karate studio is across Route 29, our scout meetings are a few miles away, the mall is a few miles away, and we are near major interstates allowing for convenient travel around the area.8. Fun catching up with the great neighbors while getting mail, waiting for the school bus, or taking out the recycling.7. We have only lost power once, even after significant storms.6. Kids can ride their bikes and play outside in a safe area.5. Kids can play on the sun porch in shorts in the middle of January with a foot of snow outside, because it heats up so nicely due to all the open windows.4. Watching rainbows form after a spring rain while swinging on our front porch.3. Great schools with a supportive and involved PTA.2. Spending hours in the pool, grilling near the pool or having Papa Johns deliver a couple of pies to the pool.1. We raised our three children in this very special home, and met amazing people who will be our friends for life!Since moving into the house, we put more than 100K upgrades including-- installing a 25,000 gallon in ground pool, the fence with separate areas for the pool and playing area, and re-grading the yard including underground piping to channel water away from the house during big storms-installed high end A/C and attic fan on upper level-installed new driveway-updated washer and dryer-updated all kitchen appliances to stainless steel-upgraded kitchen countertops to granite-updated kitchen flooring-install all new carpeting in the house-installed new smoke detectors. We have no HOA expenses, but contract with GreenLife to mow our lawn April-October at $40 a week. Our neighborhood
