About us: *Parents, kids, teachers and much more. We'd like to live with kid-friendly people. *We live on the same property and enjoy each other's company, but sometimes go days or more without seeing each other. Other details: *Water included, water comes from a well. *Garbage/trash included. *Propane tank for sole use of the Cottage *Property has solar panels, which provide about 50% of electricity used. *Electricity is covered in rent, up to $65 per person per month, averaged annually. If annual bill exceeds that amount, there is an annual true-up. *Deposit is $2,995 *House is available December 1st, 2025 *Lease term is one year, then continues month-to-month. *Pets are considered with additional pet deposit and pet lease agreement We love this place and pinch ourselves all the time over how lucky we are to live in such beauty and with such amazing land-mates. We're looking for someone/s as special and charming as this place is... *Please note that this house is in the mountains, on a rural property: -The water comes from a well. The water is safe for drinking, but some people choose to buy separate, filtered water. -The house uses a septic system, which means that anything going down drains (sink, toilet or shower) stays on the property, underground. Proper care of septic systems includes being selective and careful about what goes down drains. -Power outages are frequent/normal during storms. Due to being in a remote location, the property isn't always a top priority for PG&E to restore power, which means that power can be out for days at a time. Power outages can mean not having access to running water, as the well system is electrical. It is therefore recommended that tenants store extra water for drinking and hygiene during power outages. -Power outages will typically also affect internet service, since most homes have a modem or router which is connected to an electrical outlet, and internet service is spotty in the area. This is rural living, near a quaint beach town. While there are some modern conveniences, it is a different lifestyle than living in a city. **Photos of 2nd bathroom and downstairs bedroom to come! Owner pays for water and trash. Electricity is included in rent at $65/month per person. If usage exceeds $65/mo per person, averaged over one year, tenant to pay difference.
