The hardwood floors were just refinished; the large walk-in closet is a generous 5' by 8'; and the bathroom even has an upgraded granite countertop. (Bathroom shown has been upgraded; photos coming.) Zillow has confirmed to me that they do NOT take renovations - nor the view! - into account when they list the Zestimate! Imagine, this place has over $60k of renovations and it's not included in their number, which does not at all correspond with the value. The building was designed by world-famous architect IM Pei, who designed the National Gallery of Art East Wing and the pyramid at the Louvre. With a beautiful lobby, concierge, bike room, community lounge, exterior lounge and picnic areas, a clean laundry and a gym, you will want for nothing in this community. The Waterfront community is very up and coming, with a Safeway, Starbucks, and Arena stage next door! East Potomac Park and National Stadium and the Audi soccer field are walking distance. As are the buildings of Congress, the National Mall, and many museums and federal buildings. Transportation is easy with the SW Waterfront station a block away! Owner pays for water, trash, etc. Tenant responsible only for gas/electric (very low.) I would consider a cat. My last tenant loved this place so much she stayed for almost ten years and only had to move for work. Parking in a secure surface lot, or underground, and extra storage may be available for additional fees.
