From the honeysuckle tree that blooms all summer over the porch to the chandelier in the dining room and the finest little Carnegie library in all of Colorado down the street, this house is all about small town character and location. We have good neighbors and because of parking restrictions, our street is quiet at night. As of 2015, the house has a new membrane roof, a new skylight, and new insulation that keeps it cool all summer without AC, and holds in its warmth nicely in winter. The natural gas forced-air furnace and gas hot water heater is located in a partial basement. In the fully-fenced back yard beneath two large aspens and a plum tree, is a separate tool shed, half of which was converted in 2010 into a cozy fully insulated office (53 sq.ft) that’s easily heated. The front porch faces the park and is a fine place to have coffee, meet with friends, read the paper, or just people-watch--and under the mulch covering the front yard is a rainbow of deer-resistant wildflowers waiting to burst into bloom next spring.
