After 20 years we are selling our home to downsize. This has been a GREAT place to raise a family. It is a very serene setting with the house set back from the road about 100 yds. We have three acres to ourselves with room between us and both neighbors. It is quiet and peaceful. The house is a 1,500 sf all brick ranch. 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, nice sized kitchen with eat-in dining area, large living room and approx. 1,200 sf of the basement is finished. I owned a construction company for the first 10 years that this was our home and the interior has been extensively remodeled and updated with a few of the original features left intact for character. The bedrooms still have the original Cherry hardwood floors, the entryway still has the original slate flooring as well and the East end of the living room is finished with a limestone fireplace, mantle and hearth. The master bath is tiled with a Jacuzzi jetted tub (standard size but a little deeper) and shower unit. The main bath is done in a tasteful combination of tile and granite with a tub/shower combination. The kitchen has been finished in tile, granite and stainless appliances with plenty of oak cabinetry including an island. We finished the basement into a great place to either entertain or for the kids to keep occupied. It includes a large walk-in closet, a sizeable "living room" area wired for dish/cable/surround sound etc. It also has an 8' built in pool table, a bar that has been plumbed to add a sink, a very nice tiled area for a table and chairs and another extra open room that worked great for the treadmill, bow-flex and air hockey table. In addition there is a large 18'x33' above ground pool that is mostly installed in-ground along with a very large deck (500sf or so) and a 12x16 deck with a pergola all surrounding the pool. The "yard barn" is 16'x 22' with a well constructed 2nd floor loft. It has a concrete floor with plenty of room for toys, pool stuff and lawn equipment. The "big barn" is a 3,100 sf pole building with 9' ceilings in the front section and 13' ceilings in the main building. It has concrete in the whole building. It does need some finish work (siding on the east side installed, overhead doors and permanent power) but can easily be finished to your specs. The expensive and hard part is done. We will be listing this home with a realtor in the next few weeks (already have a friend lined up) but decided to offer it by owner in the meantime. The taxes are a very low $1,650 a year. Schools are Horizon, Discovery and Penn. We have an Osceola address, are in Harris Township and are closer to Granger than Osceola but are very centrally located between Elkhart and Mishawaka - convenient to shopping etc. I will show the home by appointment only to qualified buyers. I'm not going to rent it or sell it on a land contract. This is not a fire sale. We have a home to move to and could give near immediate possession but do not need to give this nice unique property away.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
