Located just 10 minutes from Yorktown beach, and 15 minutes from Newport News, this home is in a serene yet convenient location. Additional info: Your space: The Camelia room has a queen bed and is located on the second floor at the front of the house. This room gets plenty of natural sunlight but is still private and peaceful. At 2831 square feet, this home is very spacious and you are welcome to use the following area's: Living room/ Sunroom This is a spacious room that houses the two large couches and the 55 inch LG display. In winter, the fireplace is functional and makes for a very cozy TV-watching experience. Reading room: Toward the front of the house is the reading room, filled with natural sun and a view of the front yard, this is a perfect place to relax on the couch or kick back on the lazy boy. Kitchen space: The kitchen space has everything you should need, guests are welcome to use both the stovetop and microwave. The following amenities are also included: - Air fryer - Blender - Keurig with coffee - Electric Kettle - Utensils - Silverware - Pots&pans -Glassware Laundry Room Both a washer and dryer are provided. Bathrooms: On the second floor is the bathroom this is shared by both the Camelia room and the other guest room (Magnolia room). It is equipped with automatic lighting, an 8ft by 4ft mirror, a shower, toilet, and other essentials (hairdryer, hand towels, soap, shampoo, etc.) On the first floor by the kitchen is also a 1/2 bath that is open for guests to use. Parking: Guests will be allocated parking space that they are welcome to use for the full duration of their stay. Dining Space: Large extendable oak dining table holds 6+ chairs. Outdoor: As seen in the images, the outdoor space is a beautiful place to be in the summer months. There is a patio space that is perfect for lunch on a sunny day. In colder months, feel free to start up a fire under the stars. Seating areas in the back yard and the outdoor porch swing are also available for guests to use. Animals: This home also houses 2 dogs (one Italian greyhound/beagle mix and a French Bulldog) in addition to a house cat. All of these animals are well trained. While the dogs may bark at first, if you show them some love, they will learn to love you right back! Neighborhood This neighborhood is found within the Marlbank farms area, it is highly sought after due to it being such a safe and convenient location. Getting out for a morning walk will greet you with beautiful nature, tall pine trees, deer, squirrels, and more. On the weekends if you're out and about in the neighborhood, you'll likely see weekends dog walkers, joggers, and other friendly neighbors tending to their yards. There are many nice biking trails (by the battlefields) or hiking trails (i.e. Newport News Park) just minutes away. Getting around Approximately 10 minutes walking in our neighborhood are the tennis courts and an open field that is free to use. A 3-minute drive can take you to the Yorktown battlefields which have wonderful open green fields. 10 minutes away is Yorktown beach, in the summer months they have free music concerts/ festivals and is generally a great place to get outdoors and have a good time.
