I have a house in Harmony Village. Harmony is a semi-rural Co-Housing community in southwest Golden bounded by open space on nearly three sides. It is a planned development of 27 houses of Sante Fe stucco architecture designed such that parking is on the perimeter of the village with a common green in the center. A wide serpentine walkway connects the houses so in the interior, it is restricted to only foot traffic. It tends to be very quiet. We are surrounded by dense areas of trees and several berms which block out any road noise. During the pandemic, we have been very conservative around possible contagion. Each household remains largely in quarantine and we all wear masks out-of-doors and try to stay six feet from one another when outside. I think due to our strict measures, the village is entirely free of Corona virus as are the extended families and friends. However, since we may connect with each other outside, we largely haven't felt the isolation typical of the pandemic. The unit is in my basement. There are two large landscaped window wells in both the bedroom and kitchen which let in a lot of natof natural light. My front porch, which I share with my renter, is quite private with bamboo screening. A reserved parking space for my renter is near the house. Rent includes all utilities and wifi. I do not require a lease although I hope the tenant will verbally agree to staying at least a year. We value sustainability, social responsibility, progressive values and clear communication. Socializing with other residents is optional. Inside each household "bubble," one's privacy is respected. It is out on "the bricks " and in going to our cars that people tend to causally socialize. Households with children have generally extended the "bubble" to include each other. We pretty much all compost for our garden and recycle as much as is possible. We collectively own a 4,000 sq. ft. Common House which has a commercial kitchen and dining area, kids' suite, large rooftop hot tub, laundry, basement exercise and recreation area and two guest rooms, all of which are available to renters. I do not have laundry facilities in my house. I use the two free washers and dryers in the Common House which is one building away from my home. Under normal conditions, a varying subset of about 24 members try to have dinner together about twice a month. We enjoy seasonal organic veggies and fruits from our large garden. I have two indoor/outdoor cats. I am hoping to find a single NS male or female. A cat or midsize to small dog would work well enough with my two cats who are very mellow and tolerant of other animals. The open space around us provides ample opportunities for walking a dog, running, walking or bicycling directly from the house. A light rail station is nearby. See our website under the name of "harmonyvillage."a de All utilities and wifi included. Security deposit required. NS in house only. Due to health issues, owner prefers that tenant maintain a fragrance-free household. One pet permitted.
