We offer a 1 MONTH rental of our comfortable, bright, and tastefully furnished 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home (1900 sqf) with a fully-equipped kitchen, den space, and a large and peaceful backyard (10,000 sqf lot).
Enter the house into the living room with hardwood floors, built-in book-shelving, ornamental fireplace, and relaxed sitting area. Stroll through the fully appointed kitchen (including French-door refrigerator, five-burner gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee/tea station, food processor, blender, etc.) and into the dining room where you might pause to sit at the window seat and look out onto the raised vegetable beds and fruit trees (lemon, lime, fig, apple, and sometimes plum can be had).
The quiet first-floor primary bedroom has carpeting, a king bed with Tempurpedic-style mattress, en-suite bathroom with dual sinks and large soaker tub, and good-sized closet along one wall. French doors open to the back deck where a hot-tub is steps away. Two other bedrooms are also found on the first floor. Both have hardwood flooring, one bedroom is decorated for children (with a twin-size bunk bed) and the other is our "guest room" with a queen size Tempurpedic mattress, tv and small desk. The second full bathroom, with shower over tub, is also on the first floor.
Taking the stairs up to the second floor you will find a large den with carpeted flooring, L-shaped sectional sofa-bed (with a tempurpedic-style, full size mattress) 60-inch flat-screen television, book shelves, an office space/nook, and finally a third full bathroom with stand-up shower. This bathroom also has large-capacity, HE washer and dryer storage closet.
The large backyard, accessed from the dining room or primary suite, is a relaxing retreat and entertainment space...it also has a playground! The first level out of the house is a deck with hot-tub and large picnic table. A large BBQ is also available to use. Taking three steps down to the bricked patio you will find to your right, a large glass table and six chairs (perfect for dinner on a warm night) and large sun-shade, solar power lit, crank umbrella. To the left is a sitting area with cushioned love-seat, chairs, foot rests, and glass coffee table. There is also a shed for storage (10x12). The large back yard is perfect for kids (and secure) especially since they will find a playground area complete with swings, slide, tire swing and raised "club house" which is also fun for "camping out!" The backyard is well landscaped with mature trees (fruit and otherwise), roses, lavender, etc.
Two+ car off street parking means you never have to look and we live on a safe, neighborhood street with friendly neighbors. Centrally located on the San Francisco Peninsula, in the city whose slogan is "Climate Best by Government Test," we avoid the cool fog of San Francisco and the heat of the South Bay. Schools include well rated elementary/middle school and high school with International Baccalaureate program. We are close to major tech companies (including Meta/Facebook 2 miles, Google 2-17 miles depending upon the campus, Amazon 3-11 miles depending on the campus, Oracle 7 miles), as well as multiple state and private universities and community colleges (Stanford University is 5 miles and Menlo College 2.5 miles being the closest). Additionally, we are 8 blocks from Stanford Clinics and the Stanford Redwood City campus! Being close to the two major freeways and cross-bay bridges facilitates easy commutes around the Bay. Walk, bike, or bus downtown for great restaurants, entertainment, or to catch the train into San Francisco or San Jose. We are also walking distance to Marsh Manor which means great food (including Freewheel Brewery, Los Gallos taqueria, and State of Mind pizza), Starbucks coffee, a market, bank, post office, dry cleaning, etc are only a short walk away. We are also walking distance to parks/playgrounds (which includes the green space and gym/recreation facilities at Stanford, Redwood City). Kayak and paddleboard in the bay from the local marina. Hiking, running, and biking trails are plentiful along the bay and in the nearby mountains. It is a short drive to the mountains, redwood forests, and the ocean. We love our home and community, and hope to share it with you!
