    Mold , Asbestos , Gray Water in Tub and Sink and all over basement - electric outdated and dangerous only rewired to first connection ( all switches and outlets are false and a misrepresentation - all knob and tube - The Tenant in Unit 1 pays 99% of the landlords electric costs , trash and mice and other toxic items in basement, gray water in tub, asbestos chunks all over basement floor in the moldy water puddles, air directly ito unit 1, asbestos pipes not encapsulated - dangerous mold and mycotoxins - no insulation between basement and floor boards - windows falling out of the frame (rotting wood dormant mycotoxins ) - dangerous dry wood all around perimeter ( fire hazard) I have been and continue to be extremely ill since residing in this unit July 1 2023 through June 30, 2024. This toxic situation was fervently concealed by many town officials and fire department ( Chief - now retired ) all parties colluded with corrupt landlord. The actions were with intent and criminal. Very dangerous toxic unit - no one should live in this sick toxic property. Part of scam when re-listed December 2024 - includes $100.00 a month electric. More lies! Refused to reimburse me - called me names and more. Enabled by various government officials. Now $100.00 credit - laughable not even close. I informed the existing tenant know - I went to her door to warn to warn her and explained some of the health hazards and deplorable actions. No other unit in the building ( 2 or 3 ) has electric included and Unit 1 NEVER EVER HAD INCLUDED SINCE RENTED WHEN JESSICA MATTHEWS VACATED AFTER 5 YEARS OF RESIDENCY. A PROPERTY SHE KNOWS WELL - SEE HIGH STREET INVESTMENT PROPERTIES WEB SITE. MANY INDIVIDUALS WERE CHEATED - THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS DUE TO PRIOR TENANTS - NOT JUST MYSELF. Additionally High Street Investment - the Company's website has many untruths advertised to lure renters. Starting with 98 High Street being Jessica Matthews "childhood home"- James Matthews advised me personally she lived at 98 High Street for few years - instead Jessica Matthews lived on opposite side of Brattelboro ( same home her parents reside in today) Eighth generation Vermonter ( is this a Vermonter?) - lives now in another town : in a safe, clean property with no mold, asbestos, gray water, dangerous wiring, gray water back up, mold between kitchen cabinet and floor, John Manville Asbestos shingles not sealed broken falling everywhere ( in basement and garage) lead paint many rooms and hallways, broken door locks, windows that do not lock ( high crime rate ) and much more. Note : Three times I had Brattelboro police come due to people living under porch.( photos of their coolers used as luggage uploaded to portal etc.). James Matthews ultimately took the "bag". The Brattelboro police left with me. It was left on porch for the individuals to claim if needed. All documented with Police Reports. High Crime is no secret - yet Jessica Matthews called me names and said there was no crime it was a cat. Video to prove and shared with Officer Fletcher and Chief Norma Hardy. NOTE: I find it manipulative to point out "a native Vermonter." Unless Ms. Matthews is a descendant of the great Abenaki Nation, what is she attempting to convey by stating native Vermonter? Literally, it is misleading. Declaring oneself to be a native Vermonter states that I am different from you, emphasizing and labeling all others as flatlanders. The question is, for what purpose did she state eighth generation Vermonter? I purchased our first property, 102 High Street over a decade ago and enjoyed its old victorian charm for 5 years. I knew the property well; my childhood home is located next door at 98 High Street and is still owned and operated by my parents. This house made me very ill. This house is toxic. I had to throw all my belongings in the trash. The entire select board and the town manager fervently covered up the toxicity. (Fire Department as well) The gray water in tub and basement floods, mycotoxins, false wiring ( not a ground in the unit) un-encapsulated asbestos chunks all over basement, landlord deceitfully stuck tenants myself and all others since ownership with their electric bills( we are all due monies back) , mice and rodents enter through doors. lead paint many walls, John Manville Asbestos shingles not coated in basement, house and garage, asbestos in the ceiling and the walls. This is a health warning to all and notice to prior tenants due monies back for paying Jessica Matthews electric bills after she vacated Unit 1 (after 5 year residency.) Vermont is not above the federal law or the constitution of the United States of America. Despite my illness I will now seek justice. Please call if any questions. I paid for private Mold Inspection and other inspections. I have all evidence - which was ignored - despite being posted on Vermont Judiciary Portal June 2024 and July 2024. Additionally Company's ( although not incorporated or LLC) website has many untruths advertised to lure renters. Fact - They watched me get sicker and sicker and did nothing but harass, bully and intimidate - attempted to weaponize judicial system. Even harassed and contacted family in Sterling Virginia. All documented with Sterling Police department. Justice takes time. Unable ( after checking with Vermont Bar and personally 45 different law firms "conflicted out"the last one was in Stowe and did so right before nonsense hearing. All documented on portal and directly with the Judge. This violation of legal representation is very significant. I will now seek justice and hope to ensure others do not get exposed and have long lasting health impacts. I had to throw away all I owned ! The health issues are much more complex. Perhaps a budget cut for the part time health inspector is appropriate. That salary could be used for other legitimate town costs. I believe it would cover much. Mr. Nelson - Video Cam with Police and personally recorded the fraudulent harassing 10 person inspection. Vermont ? Or corruption? Additionally Kerr at Fire Department worthy of external review and possible suspension or termination. VERMONT can do better! VERMONT you must do better! VERMONT YOU WILL DO BETTER !
