    PLEASE READ FIRST: We've been overwhelmed by responses, although few folks are really ideal for this cabin. We will happily respond to your questions, show you the cabin, etc. if you read this message below, AND then answer a few questions at the end. The cabin is not available until after July 1. We cannot show it until Memorial Day weekend. This cabin is ideal for one or two people who also know how to operate a tractor and are handy with tools. This is a rustic open-plan architecturally-designed 10 x 55 foot year-round cabin, fully-powered by wind and solar, wood-stove heat, at end of long dirt road, with swim pond, trails, small orchard, room for animals and vegetable garden. This is a peaceful, gorgeous property, ideal for hardy single person or couple. We are looking for a long-term commitment (a few years or more, although of course no one can guarantee that). Price reflects some grounds-keeping responsibilities, including snow-plowing the 1/3 mile roadway to the house, using a full-size 50 hp Kubota tractor. We have a nearby cabin (you can see in some of the photos) that we visit on some weekends and for a few weeks in the summer. Our current renter has been here 5 years. Our verizon cell phones work great; there is no internet except through the 3G or 4G network, which works pretty well most of the time. You'll be responsible for general property maintenance (weeding the garden, etc.) and for keeping the equipment (mower, tractor, chainsaw) well maintained. Nothing too hard or complicated but needs someone who is careful and thorough and attentive.
