Improvements added to our home since spending $360,000 to build it in 2005. Improvements since then: New $25,000 roof in 2018, new $20,000 Carrier 16 SEER airconditioning system in 2020, $33,000 solar panels in 2021, Stone creekbed and additional landscaping $30,000, $25,000 to add stone to replace exterior siding in 4 main exterior areas; $6,000 tankless hot waterheater. I would have to sell my house for $519,000 just to break even on major projects... in the face of so many houses gaining 100,000 to 200,000 in the last few years, I find it wrong to say my house has gone down in value since 2006.
