HUMBLE-HAND CRAFT”S LITTLE HOUSE (located on a trailer in Ojai, CA) INTERIOR -Interior paneling is a collection of various types of old growth wood including: redwood, cedar, and pine with all natural finish -Door thresholds are shaped with a band saw & custom plugged with dark walnut -Insulation is sheep wool from Oregon Shepherd -Roof is insulated with 2 inch ridged foam locally rescued DOORS & WINDOWS -Majority of windows are custom made in Ryan’s local woodshop using all clear heart, old growth redwood. The glass is dual paned & solar tinted for maximum energy efficiency. -Windowsills and jambs are custom milled from old growth redwood. Jamb sill extensions are made of locally salvaged cedar. -Front door stained glass window is made by local artist, Ron Vogt. -Back Door Stained glass is hand blown in Indiana KITCHEN -Custom made cabinet tracks for sliding door operation -Manzanita cabinet door pulls collected from Big Sur, CA -Countertop and shelving is from a cedar slab that was salvaged by local Ojai resident from a fallen tree in Libby Park -Tile is locally handmade by RTK Studios FLOORING -Salvaged dark walnut flooring that is finished with Hemp Seed Oil containing a custom dark pigment stain -The base molding is hand milled by Ryan; made of redwood LIGHTING -Electrical panel is designed by local electronic enthusiast: Andrew Prestridge -Kitchen LED light is made by Prestridge -Low voltage LED lighting; solar powered -Custom fabricated copper lanterns & sconces made by Philip Brainard in Santa Barbara, CA EXTERIOR -Fencing is hand split grape stakes from Oxnard, CA -Shower pan is custom made by Bay City Fabrication in Ventura, CA -Exterior paneling is redwood board-and-batten style siding -Finished with hemp shield ROOF -Waterproofing is a rubberized membrane -Stainless steel screwed cedar shake roofing -Copper drip edge flashing
