A single-story colonial built in 1941, gutted down to studs and completely rebuilt to include a full second story in 2006. The fireplace/chimney was removed as part of the remodel, leaving an open, modern floorplan.
The remodel installed a gas furnace, central air, new cherry kitchen cabinets and marble counters, stainless steel sink, GE stainless stell oven/range/microwave, and Bosch dishwasher. GE stainless steel kitchen fridge, secondary basement fridge and Whirlpool high efficiency laundry added in 2007. Garbage disposal replaced in 2008.
Includes hardwood floors, new doors, windows and roof. Large master bedroom includes walk-in-closet. Upstairs bathroom includes dual vanity granite sinks and large soaking tub. The basement is finished with tile floors to match the kitchen and upstairs bathroom.

Neighborhood Description
The Cedarwood Ave. area is a small neighborhood of cul-de-sacs and circles sandwiched between the back of Brandeis University and I95. The lack of through traffic and the bordering woods make it a quiet, idyllic suburban area. The area provides convenient access to both I95, I90, and downtown Waltham with very little noise (I95 is only barely audible on the edge of the neighborhood closest to the highway, which is on the opposite side from this house). Brandeis is a quiet, well-behaved campus, and its staff parking and chapels border the neighborhood, so students are rarely seen or heard. The neighborhood includes a small playground/field with a basketball half-court and some short trails into the woods. The area is populated mostly by retired couples and younger professionals starting families. Recognized as one of the nicest neighborhoods in Waltham, it provides a Weston-like atmosphere (the next town just across I95) with a third the property taxes along with city sewer and garbage pickup services.
