The apartment itself is newly furnished, with a comfortable queen bed as well as a pull out full-size sofa bed perfect for a child or overnight guest. The bedroom has a desk and walk-in closet, and room for a port-a-crib (not included). The living room has a large screen t.v.. The large windows and outside patio (with private grill and seating) extend this cozy, quiet apartment, nestled in a lush, private yard. Other features include world renowned Fort Williams Park (with a beach, gardens, playing fields, playground, children's garden, tennis and pickle ball courts) just a 5 minute walk down the street. There are miles of wooded hiking trails right from the neighborhood, and it's just a short drive to multiple gorgeous beaches and farms, a 5 minute drive to the nearest grocery store, bakeries, live theater, and restaurants, and a 10 minute drive to downtown Portland (with abundant fabulous restaurants, shops and theaters). The property is a 30 minute drive to the nearest mountain, and a two hour train/bus ride or drive to Boston. CALL/TEXT owners Anna and Doug Strout to inquire. This apartment is available starting June 1 until July 8, and available again from August 1st onwards. Minimum rental term is one month. Rental cost for one month in the summer months is $2,500. The monthly rent from September through May is $1,400. This is a furnished apartment, including linens, towels, dishes, and cookware. Utilities (AC/Heat, cable, WiFi, gas grill, water and electricity) are included in the rent cost. There is off street parking for one car (not in a garage). A shared washer and dryer in the main house are available to use at no cost (there is also a nice laudrymat just 5 minutes away). No smoking, and no pets are allowed in the apartment.
