A group of five architects, including Philadelphia’s first woman architect, are mainly responsible for the historic structures in Wayne. Ed McMahon once called Wayne home, and actor Brad Whitford grew up here. Wayne had another brush with fame when the movie Taps was filmed in town in the early 1980s.
