My overall experience with Cardel was pleasant.  I think it is a challenging time to build a home due to COVID i.e. supplies, tradepeople, etc.  Overall we are very happy with our new home.  I do want to note a few things: although very nice in person, I think Elaine can be abrasive sometimes through email.  I am unsure if she realizes this as she is probably trying to answer questions promptly, but the tone through email comes off abrupt.  I am also unsure how Sean is in his position.  In the end, the issues we have with the house either are being sorted, or have been sorted.  However, when we originally complained about the noise of the HVAC, he said nothing could be done.  When HVAC did come out, they said the motor runs on 5 speeds and they were able to turn it down from a 5 to a 3.  He also acted as if our two different colored sinks in the master bedroom wasn't a big issue, and that the tradesman would have to rip out the counter (which they did not).  Again, in the end it was solved but it was the attitude that we did not appreciate.  We did appreciate that he did make sure the bathroom tile in the guest bathroom get fixed that was not properly aligned.  However, Sean doesn't seem very knowledgeable about homes in general which is why I don't think he is a fit for his position.  The last issue is with the builders.  Currently there are three rows of townhomes being built all around us.  I believe at one point the inspector came and mentioned what a disarray the area was in.  The area could be more tidy in the back behind our garage.  We've seen nails all about and although we have not had a flat tire yet, we know many neighbors who have.  The builders even left a lift vehicle in the middle of the alley (I think it had a flat tire but still) and they constantly leave wood and other items sticking out.  Lastly, please tell me the landscaping in front of the model homes is not what our landscaping will look like.  The rocks our absolutely an eye sore- the landscaping in general is not at all what I expect from a quality home that I paid almost half a million for. I really hope Cardel is looking into other options and that is why our homes our not landscaped yet.  Again, overall I feel the home is of good quality and I am mostly satisfied.  I wanted to shared areas where I think Cardel can improve.  Thank  you.

Not a good experience, both during construction and after move-in. Would not purchase from Cardel again.

Overall I do not think this was a good first time home buying experience. Elaine was our sales rep who I felt only cared about the money and not about us. I wish more time would have been spent with us explaining and showing different options and designs. We felt very rushed with the whole process and almost like a nuisance anytime we had questions.

Overall experience was great. Elaine and Carmela were so great to work with, they always accommodated us when we wanted to check in on the progress of the house and we’re really quick to answer any questions. The only thing I would have changed would be more time and opportunity at the design center. This felt a bit rushed for me and I wasn’t 100% satisfied with my options/selections.

Definitely mixed but overall I would recommend. During sales/contract process got different answers and input depending on who you talked to.  The contract and closing processes had a few hiccups but were pretty smooth, we had issues getting a deposit check out to them and they were very patient about that which I appreciated. Follow up after sale was a bit frustrating as they refused to complete the “blue tape” paint touch up items that had been previously agreed to, but these were pretty minor.

When visiting family in the community where Cardel was building homes at The Ridge a couple years ago, I thought about taking a tour of the models, but didn't get around to it.   Besides, it was more for curiosity sake since I lived out of state.  Fast forward a year, and a situation arose where having a ranch-style home and family nearby made me think of The Ridge.    I loved the pictures on the website and my sister and her husband were my proxies, touring the models in person.  They were very impressed, so in the span of 24 hours, I signed on the dotted line.  

Lynette walked me seamlessly through the sales process and kept me updated through the build, including sending pictures each week since I couldn't visit the site in person.   She is absolutely wonderful to work with!  Working with Paula on the design side was also a great experience.   Looking at all the options on the Design Center website prior to the appointment with Paula was helpful to get an idea of which direction to go, especially since the appointment goes so quickly.    Ron made sure the house was delivered on time with the quality we all were expecting.   Lyle has been steadfast in knocking out the items on the two-month warranty period punch list.  

While there were a couple small misses from design to build, Cardel made sure they were in my favor.  While I'm still waiting on a couple appliances, I understand that is due to supply chain issues not in Cardel's control.   The loaners provided have been fine.

My overall experience with Cardel and our new home has been exceptional!

I super appreciated being able to close on my home prior to the new year. With that we did have to take some things not 100% completed, which was a little frustrating.  I think the biggest opportunity that Cardel has is the overall appearance of the community. It is trashed! Mud, building materials, trash, work trucks & machinery,   now a homeless person all in the community & between Cardel & Meritage it's impressive how many blind eyes can be turned to the opportunities.

Overall experience was good. I appreciate all of Rod’s help and kindness. There were somethings that happened along the way that kind of put a damper on our experience. Cardel works with Pivot and they are horrible. Looking back we should have went with a different lender. They took forever to get back to us, Liane, the women helping us had horrible customer service. We feel like we could have gotten a better interest rate if she didn’t pressure us into getting one ASAP.  And she showed up 45 minutes late to our closing. And then with our 2 final walk through a multiple things didn’t get fixed. They either just took off the blue tape and never fixed the issue or left the blue tape on and just ignored it. I was very disappointed with Tracey who did our walk through as she didn’t listen to us and only cared to talk about her vacation she was going on. And then after we get the keys to our house they didn’t even work and it ruined what was supposed to be an exciting experience. It took almost an hour before we could get into our house. Overall, I did enjoy working with Cardel but I think some of the employees that they work with/trust are not great and give poor service

Well a pipe was broken when we moved in and raw sewage was literally inside my walls. They had to bring in a restoration company for 11 days to get the mold out of a brand new house and essentially I had to miss 10 days of work and couldn’t use my 1st floor at all,. Not great

So surprised by the quality @cardel homes...the overall layout of our home is amazing, with space, comfort and sound protection...cant even here our garage open and close...very pleased overall with every expirience...love our new neighbors too...ahhhhhh I'm home!!
