In 2005, I set out with the idea that new homes should be exactly that – homes, not houses. The intent was to create places that were warm, comfortable and personal. Additionally, I wanted to include the luxuries and conveniences we all associate with well-appointed homes, but I wanted to do it in smaller homes that were more conducive to daily life. Little did I know at the time, the types of homes I wanted to build would soon come to be commonly known as “Jewel Box Homes”. To that end, I began to build what I think is the ultimate in Jewel Box Homes: Craftsman style homes that were less than 2300 square feet. B. Wallace Design & Construction has since grown into building various sizes, styles and types of homes, but I remain committed to combining all the charm and quality of historic homes with the modern conveniences today’s buyers deserve. I believe that everyone deserves a non-generic, sustainable home that is easy to live in, easy to maintain and easy to love. That’s why B. Wallace homes feature efficient, flexible floor plans and are built with durable, low-maintenance materials that don’t sacrifice authenticity. I also believe that everyone’s home, regardless of size or price, should reflect their individual style and character. That’s why B.
